Does Tiger Woods Have a Prescription Drug Problem?

Fall From Grace OR a Second Chance for Tiger Woods?

I don't condone what Tiger Woods did this week in regards to his driving under the influence of prescription drugs.

Prescription drugs are flooding our homes at an unprecedented rate. It's leading to other abuse like heroin addiction. The pain medications prescribed are powerful, as stated by Tiger, the mix was severe.

We all make mistakes; hopefully, he will be a spokesperson for the risks of pain meds prescribed by doctors. This issue does not just impact his life, but many other athletes (friends, family, and neighbors) that fight pain every single day.

Paul Azinger talks about Tiger Woods and his potential prescription addiction.

"I know firsthand there are some players that think there's a problem there with Tiger," Azinger told Whitlock. "I don't, I haven't been around him much the last few years. But there are some players out there that are saying this has been a problem for a while." - Paul Azinger

Tiger Woods Statement

“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement Monday evening. “I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”
Woods apologized to his family, friends and fans and said, “I expect more from myself, too.”
“I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again,”
