Great day out on the course!
My good friend got an ace on hole eleven (par 3) at Mt. Woodson Golf Club. I have always heard of these elusive shots but I have never witnessed one live. Technically, I still have not witnessed a hole in one since I was trying to find my ball that fell behind my bag at the time of the swing but nonetheless we drove up to the green and his divot was 6 feet past the pin but his back spin was enough to roll back 6 feet into the hole. It was indeed a fantastic moment for his golf career and it will forever be remembered as one of my top ten moments on a golf course.
On to my golf…
We played twenty seven holes today and the last nine holes (front nine) I was on fire! I ended the front 9 with a double bogey and carded a 39 and missed my best 9 holes ever, by one stroke. This was the only double bogey of the 9 hole stretch but I was extremely happy with how I finished my day. Recently I have been getting into these matrix like moments (flow) on the course and it’s the biggest rush when I get into these mindsets. This mental strength reminds me of the new book coming out The Rise of Superman and they describe this very thing in the video below.
I can only imagine when PGA professional, like Jimmy Walker at the moment, get into this state of mind and really feel like they can hit any shot at any time. I am looking forward to having more of these moments on the golf course and in life.
Thanks for stopping by!
