Rickie wins, and so do the kids
It's always great seeing PGA Professionals give back to charitable organizations. What makes some professionals stand out from the rest, is the ability to balance playing professional golf and to give back. Rickie Fowler was able to fly halfway around the world and still honor his commitment to the First Tee of San Diego | Pro Kids this week, days before the start of the Farmers Insurance Open. Rickie demonstrates Professionalism at its best.
I have the privilege to work with The Pro Kids organization here in San Diego on a weekly basis. What started off as playing golf with the kids every other Friday has morphed into a part-time tournament director for the First Annual Charity March Madness Golf Tournament scheduled for March 19, 2016, at the Oceanside facility located at 821 Douglas Dr in Oceanside.
I invite you to sign up for this one-of-a-kind golf tournament this March, which will include Derby/Horserace Championship, Poison Bracket Challenge and Longest Drive Competition in the virtual simulator. Did I mention the longest drive wins a brand new driver! In my opinion, this six hole golf course has some of the best greens in San Diego County.
See you there!
P.S. Always great seeing Charley Hoffman giving back!
